WebFeb 7, 2011 · Feb 7, 2011. #1. When I'm at work I need to set a static IP to get onto the wifi but the built in wifi settings on the stock rom doesn't support static IP. I tried WiFi Static from the market but it didn't work at all. The Wifi menu would just say "Unable to obtain IP" and then not connect. Am I not using the app properly or does the nookcolor ... WebApr 17, 2024 · 1 Answer. Sorted by: 2. The solution was to use networkd-dispatcher. It can be installed via apt install networkd-dispatcher but it was already installed on my system. It creates /usr/lib/networkd-dispatcher and in there (among others) no-carrier.d → this is where to put the script to turn wifi on.
