WebFrom Lugu to SML is probably about 2 hours each way. It's a 2 hour drive south via toll roads to Chiayi. Never made it all the way to Alishan MTN., but was in Alishan area. It's probably an hour and a half driving to Fenchihu from Chiayi. Some of the roads are pretty small. It was great having a car, rather than being limited to public transport.
